We still don't know exactly when teen rapper Bishop Nehru and producer DOOM's long-promised Nehruvian DOOM album will drop, but the Brooklyn boy wonder and the metal-faced supervillain have officially premiered the set's first single, "Darkness (HBU)."
A new video confirms that this is the same track teased earlier this year in a trailer for the project, but now we get to hear Nehru's bars about eschewing brick-moving schemes and possessing a clear-eyed vision despite dwelling in a cold, dark world. The aurally optimistic, trumpet-and-bass blaring beat may be familiar to DOOM fans, having previously appeared as one of the prolific producer's Special Herbs.
Nehruvian DOOM is expected to drop later this year via Lex Projects.
