Big D and the Kids Table

The Gypsy Mile

BY Dan CohenPublished Sep 1, 2002

Speed is the operative word when talking about Big D and the Kid's Table. The Gypsy Mile clocks in just shy of the 30-minute mark and is furiously fast-paced ska-punk with hard breakdowns thrown in and high-pitched vocals speeding along to keep pace with the music. The main thing seems to be fun, with the lyrics speaking about inane topics such as scenesters and rebellion. Big D and the Kid's Table bring rampant energy to their album, and if you're looking for fast-paced ska with a heavy dose of hard punk, they certainly fit your needs.
