After celebrating the 10-year milestone of their acclaimed Colors LP, Between the Buried and Me have announced a new full-length album, which will be split into two separate parts.

The prog metal masters have announced they will first return with Automata I, which will arrive via their new label home of Sumerian Records on March 9. The six-track effort is the first instalment of the two-part album project set for release this year, with Automata II set to arrive in the summer.

"Every single week music comes and goes. We can get music instantly, and with this luxury, the listener has a hard time sitting down with albums and exploring their every twist and turn," frontman Tommy Rogers said a in statement. "Because of this, we have decided to release our new album in two parts. Our music is dense and our albums are very long, so we want to give people two separate moments to dive in this year and explore new music that we've put our entire being into. We hope you enjoy the creation as much as we've enjoyed the process."

Between the Buried and Me have also mapped out a U.S. headlining tour alongside the Dear Hunter and Leprous that will keep them on the road throughout March and April. You can find a complete itinerary below.

Automata I follows the group's 2015 full-length Coma Ecliptic.
