UPDATE: A representative from Embrace tells Exclaim! that the press release leaked by Live in Limbo included inaccurate lineup details, so take the information below, and the image above, with a grain of salt. In the meantime, a press release with accurate details is expected to arrive later tonight (March 1).

UPDATE 2: You can now view the official, full lineup here. All of the performers we originally reported remain on the bill.

Following a couple weeks of speculation, the organizers behind the inaugural Canadian edition of Bestival have revealed the first batch of artists appearing at the upcoming Toronto Island event. Headlining the whole thing will be UK pop titan Florence + the Machine and rap icon Nas.

As a press release published on Live in Limbo shows, the roster reveal leaked a bit early today (March 1), with a considerable amount of Canadian and international artists confirmed to be coming to Hanlan's Point Beach between June 12 and 13. In addition to the headliners, this includes Caribou, Wavves, Omar Souleyman, Jamie xx, Owen Pallett, Born Ruffians, Skream, Flosstradamus, Jamie Jones, Humans and SBTRKT.

Ticketing details have yet to be delivered in full, but tickets go on sale to the public on March 5. You'll be able to grab them over here.

In a statement, Bestival curator Rob da Bank said:

To say that we're excited at Bestival HQ about launching our very first Bestival overseas is a serious understatement. We've spent 12 years working up to this moment and are so proud to be teaming up with Toronto to launch the good ship that is Bestival overseas. I'm also very proud of our first heavy hitting line up with typically diverse headliners, Florence and The Machine and Nas! Two amazing talents. We are also announcing; the best leftfield acts around with Caribou and Omar Souleyman, electronic music from Jamie xx and Flosstradamus. I really hope you can join us on the ferry to Toronto Island in June. See you on the beach!

As previously reported, the upcoming Canadian Bestival will be the first international event staged by the UK festival. Event planners had previously explained in a press statement that that event is being staged so that "our North American cousins can drink deep from our admittedly eccentric English cup that overflows with amazing music, insane sideshows and magical happenings."
