Beastie Boys Complete Album, Dub It Hot Sauce Committee

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 25, 2009

Your favourite NYC-bred all-white rap trio the Beastie Boys have some exciting news to report: they've finished their new album, and it's been given the deliciously bureaucratic title Hot Sauce Committee. (Yeah, we know. We were rooting for Tadlock's Glasses too.)

The album, their follow-up to 2007's lukewarm The Mix-Up, has been in the works for some time. In an interview with Billboard late last year, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz said, "It's a lot of vocals, a lot of words - very wordy... and it's political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very."

While the tracklisting and release date is unknown, we do know that the album contains a guest spot from Santigold. The group will be appearing on Jimmy Fallon tonight (May 25) to discuss the album.
