BBC Radio 1 to Air The Story of Epitaph Tonight

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 26, 2010

After 30 years in the biz, Epitaph Records stands as one of punk rock's longest-standing institutions, releasing records by everyone from Bad Religion, the Cramps, Refused and Converge, to L7, Turbonegro, the Locust and the Descendents. It's more than a little reason for the label to give itself a pat on the back and to be honoured with its very own radio documentary.

Tonight (April 26), BBC Radio 1 will do just that. At 9 p.m. PST, the station will air The Story of Epitaph, an hour-long program hosted by the BBC's Mike Davies. Contributing to the on-air documentary will be Epitaph founder/Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, Dexter Holland from the Offspring, Frank Turner, Gallows and the Blackout.

If you miss tonight's broadcast, the entire show will be available here for the next seven days, starting at 10 p.m. PST.
