L.A. R&B singer Banks confirmed today (July 12) that she's following up her Goddess collection this fall with a new album release. While the details have yet to be delivered in full, she's at least offered up a self-love-inspired piece from the set called "Fuck with Myself."
The track was premiered through Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program today, with the host confirming that the as-yet-untitled sophomore LP from Banks arrives September 30. Following this, a fairly creepy video for the cut went up online.
Of its many surreal images, the video finds Banks singing while stroking her bald-headed, torso-less doppelganger, ballet artists un-tucking themselves out of tiny crates, and a Bic-flicking finale. As for the track, it traffics in shadowy beats and lyrics about upping yourself.
