Massachusetts hardcore institution Bane are ready to call it a day, but they will leave fans one last gift via a final album called Don't Wait Up. The group's fourth full-length drops May 13 on longtime label Equal Vision Records.
The record comes nearly 10 years after Bane's last LP, The Note, and was recorded with producer Jay Maas (Defeater) in Haverhill, MA. Formed in 1995, Bane toured the globe countless times, issuing a string of albums, EPs and compilation tracks along the way.
"I can't believe we did it…but we did it. To me it means, we're leaving," frontman Aaron Bedard said in a statement of disbanding Bane. "This is us with our jackets on, our hair is clean and we're walking out the door and we look back at our loved ones and we're like...don't wait up...we're going to be out late tonight."
The group will be touring behind Don't Wait Up, with the current schedule being bookended with Canadian appearances. Bane will be hitting Toronto's Hard Luck Bar on May 23 before heading back into the U.S. for a number of shows, but they'll be back in Canada for an appearance at Montebello, QC's Amnesia Rockfest on June 21. You can see the details of the trip just beneath the album's tracklisting.
