Babes in Toyland Extend Reunion Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 26, 2015

Following Babes in Toyland's reunion show this past February, the Minneapolis punk trio have announced they'll now be be taking their show on the road for a summer tour.

A press release notes that the act's classic Fonatelle lineup of guitarist/vocalist Kat Bjelland, drummer Lori Barbero and bassist Maureen Herman have extended their reunion plans, having just announced a batch of North American dates this summer. The trio had played their first show together in 18 years last February at Los Angeles' Roxy nightclub and are currently playing dates in the UK and Europe.

In addition to clubs stops in the U.S., the upcoming tour has the act stopping in Vancouver and, as previously reported, hitting up Pop Montreal. You'll find all of the calendar and venue details down below.

"There's nothing better than playing music with your friends, traveling the country and all of the experiences that come with that," Barbero said in a statement. "I'm one fortunate woman."

While Babes in Toyland's original run capped in 2001, bassist Herman had left the group in 1996. The classic lineup had produced two albums together, 1992's Fonatelle and 1995's Nemesisters, their last LP to date. Babes in Toyland announced last summer that they were jamming again and had plans to write a new album. So far, nothing concrete has been revealed behind the LP.
