This year, Animal Collective member Avey Tare is focusing on his Slasher Flicks side-project, and he recently told Exclaim! that the jazzy art-pop trio favours the live energy of one-take recording methods over intricate production. Soon, North American audiences will have a chance to experience this in person when the group hit the road this summer.
Next month, the band will play a few U.S. shows in the eastern half of the country. Then, in August, they will head to the West Coast for a short run of gigs. This will include a Vancouver stop on August 29.
See the schedule below. Tickets for the Vancouver show go on sale on Friday (June 27) right here.
These gigs are in support of this year's Enter the Slasher House.
