Automelodi

Roughly a decade after founding electro pop band Echo Kitty, producer/singer/songwriter/keyboardist Xavier Paradis has honed and toned down his craft with his new trio Automelodi, leaving behind the giddy grip of his old band's guitar and synth attack and his once-manic dancing. Now relatively subdued in manner (perhaps more so because this set happened at the pre-happy hour of 4 p.m.), Automelodi's tunes shone out, with synth and guitar lines and live drums bringing the band's refined pop to life alongside Paradis's cool French vocals and sound effects.
