The issue of album leaks and illegal downloading doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. In fact, just this week we reported how Jack White is blasting journalists for ignorantly leaking music, with the White Stripe saying they're "not on the same team" as musicians. Well, folks, White isn't going to be too happy about this one.
Earlier this month, agro hip-hop heads Atmosphere surprised fans by releasing a digital EP titled Leak At Will, for free, distributed through Rhymesayers Entertainment's new online store, the Fifth Element. The album, released to celebrate the launch of Fifth Element's turn to digital music, is available to anyone to download, provided you have, or open, a Fifth Element account.
According to Atmosphere, this seven-track EP is also a "thank you" for all the support the fans have given the band over the years. (You're welcome, Atmosphere!)
In addition to the new EP, the group will be spending the rest of the season touring the U.S. in support of last year's When God Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, as well as the January reissue of their 2002 effort, God Loves Ugly. On tour, they'll hit up the 10,000 Lakes Festival, Chicago's Lollapalooza festival and will be joined by Rhymesayers label-mates Eyedea & Abilities.
