After being incarcerated for an attempted murder plot on his wife, As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis has been released from prison.

Alternative Press confirmed reports of his release this week with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, who revealed yesterday (February 9) that Lambesis was discharged to the Division of Adult Parole Operations on December 17 of last year.

Ex-Dokken guitarist George Lynch first broke the news of Lambesis's release this week, with Lynch appearing on Eddie Trunk's show live from the Monsters of Rock cruise. "He recently got out of jail," Lynch said. "Destroyed his band. They don't have a pot to piss in now — they're all struggling."

He continued: "Anyways, he's out. He's got a mega-record deal. He's got a book deal. Everything's lined up for him. I mean he's going to skate through life. Everybody else is suffering. His wife is living in fear. His children are living in fear."

In 2014, Lambesis plead guilty to hiring an undercover cop posing as a hitman to murder his wife. He allegedly gave the undercover agent $1,000 in cash, as well as his wife's address and home security codes, and specified which days he would be taking care of his children to give himself an alibi. Lambesis was originally sentence to serve six years in prison.

UPDATE (2/10, 3:15 p.m. EST) As Metal Injection reports, Lambesis is actually now set to get married on April 29 in Carlsband, CA, according to a now-deleted but Google-cached wedding registry. Lambesis's fiancé is Amanda Dubord, whom he was dating before being arrested.
