Don't blink once or twice — you can't miss this incredibly wholesome moment that went down at the Arkells show in Oshawa over the weekend amid the band's Canadian tour with Haviah Mighty.

Toronto's Fabian Vargas had been planning on proposing to his boyfriend Drew Price for months, and a helping hand from the Hamilton-formed quintet of honorary olympians helped him orchestrate a surprise proposal during the band's concert.

Now, if you're familiar with Arkells' live enterprise as of late, you'll know that the band has a habit of bringing a lucky couple out onstage to dance to the unlikely timeless love song "My Heart's Always Yours" — which happens to be this Vargas and Price's favourite; to the extent where Vargas had the song title engraved on the engagement ring.

After reaching out to bandleader Max Kerman via Instagram to ask for "My Heart" to be included in the Oshawa setlist, the band offered Vargas more than the mere promise of performing the Morning Report track: they would bring the couple up to the stage under the guise of having them dance to hype up the crowd and Kerman would aid in facilitating the surprise proposal.

"As soon as he reached into his back pocket and started looking at Drew, it got loud in there," the musician told CTV News.

"Everything to me just seemed normal," a successfully surprised Price told CBC News, "until [Vargas] knelt down and I realized something was going to happen."

He continued, "I can only describe it as an out-of-body experience. Even though there was an arena full of thousands of people, everyone just kind of disappeared and it felt like it was just the two of us."

(Spoiler alert: he said yes.)

To double the cuteness, as per the CBC News clip below, Vargas received a message on social media afterwards from a mother who had been in attendance with her seven-year-old daughter — it was her first concert and she was so excited to get to witness such an incredible moment.
