Futuristically gloomy electronic producer Arca released his mixtape &&&&& in 2013, earning a spot on our list of the best freeleases of the year. Now, the fast-rising Venezuelan-born/Brooklyn-based mood-setter — who notably worked on Kanye West's Yeezus and FKA twigs' EP2 — is preparing to issue &&&&& on vinyl.
The mixtape consists of a single track, clocking in at around 25 minutes. As such, the B-side of the vinyl contains an etching. The release is limited to 500 copies and can be purchased right here for £9 ($16.20). Amusingly, Arca's website notes that this price is marked down from $1,000,000.
The free digital version of &&&&& came out through Hippos in Tanks, but there's no indication as to whether the label is involved in this vinyl pressing. Hippos in Tanks' website notes that Arca has an album coming out in 2014.
