Arc

Arc are a Toronto-based trio consisting of djembe, guitar and assorted percussion. They take their time on three long tracks that contain extremely ancient outdoor sounding tribal rhythms. Augmenting these sounds is experimental guitar that comes across like wolves that infinitely howl throughout. Strange noises like crickets are heard, and the texture of the recording lends a dark, arid feel. The key to the combo is that everything is slightly offset, causing the listener to hear more beats and sounds in between the spaces than there already are.
