In the spirit of MTV, Apple has now announced its own free, 24-hour curated livestream of music videos.
Dubbed Apple Music TV, the stream channel will also feature "exclusive new music videos and premiers, special curated music video blocks, and live shows and events as well as chart countdowns and guests," an announcement from the company [via Variety] explains.
Launched this morning, Apple Music TV is currently only available to U.S. residents, who can access the channel through the Apple Music app and the Apple TV app.
Today's launch featured a countdown of the Top 100 all-time most-streamed songs in the U.S. on Apple Music. On Thursday (October 22), an "all day Bruce takeover" will celebrate the arrival of Bruce Springsteen's new album Letter to You, with video blocks of his most popular visuals, an interview with Zane Lowe and more.
Variety notes that Apple's announcement features no specific mention of music documentaries. A film behind Springsteen's Letter to You is due out on Apple TV+ October 23, while Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry will arrive in February.
