Apostle of Hustle Hit the North American Road with Gogol Bordello

BY Stephenson PricePublished Aug 19, 2009

Since the May release of Apostle of Hustle's acclaimed third album Eats Darkness, fans have been waiting for word of some proper touring activity in support of the album. Now, though, the wait is over, with the band announcing a month-long run in October in support of gypsy punk rockers Gogol Bordello.

Interestingly enough, according to the band's blog, the group will be playing as a duo and minus keyboardist/bassist Julian Brown, with guitarist/front-man Andrew Whiteman and drummer Dean Stone manning guitar/sampler and drums/percussion, respectively, for this run of shows - something they call "skin and bones for the people."

Starting in Winnipeg, the tour will wind westward to Vancouver and then across the boarder down the U.S. west coast before cutting across the southern states and ending in Atlanta on October 30. Pre-sale tickets are being offered for the U.S. dates on the Gogol Bordello website.
