Apostle of Hustle Announce Tour, Put Out Call For Opening Acts

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Apr 8, 2009

So, Apostle of Hustle have a new album coming out. It's called Eats Darkness and is due on May 19 through Arts & Crafts. To coincide with the launch of that record, the Toronto trio have now announced an Ontario tour, a pre-release offer and their own opening-act talent search.

The mini-tour kicks off May 20 in Guelph but as of this week, fans can scoop up a ticket and a digital copy of the record as a bundle from Arts & Crafts' webshop, which will be selling advance tickets before they go on sale to the public on Thursday (April 9). The album download only costs $4 when bought with a ticket, and along with getting the record on its May 19 release day, the songs "Soul Unwind" and "Perfect Fit" will be available as soon as your credit card goes through.

As for that talent search, Apostle of Hustle are looking for bands in the Southern Ontario area to open up for them during their May dates. If you're game, you are asked to email supportaoh@arts-crafts.ca with a summary of what your music is about, why you think your band are suited for the gig, and a MySpace link to your tunes. The deadline is May 1.

Here are the tour dates:

5/20 Guelph, ON - E-Bar
5/21 Hamilton, ON - The Casbah
5/22 Peterborough, ON - Montreal House
5/23 Ottawa, ON - Zaphod Beeblebrox
5/27 Kingston, ON - The Grad Club
5/29 Toronto, ON - The Music Gallery
5/30 Waterloo, ON - Starlight Room
