Apollo Ghosts played their farewell show in 2013, but the Vancouver indie rock heroes reunited in 2019 and subsequently released an ambient album and a collection of local cover songs. Now, they've announced their first full-band album in a decade. Pink Tiger is out on March 11 through You've Changed.

Pink Tiger is a 22-track double album that the Ghosts have been working on for three years. An announcement from You've Changed explains that the first 11 songs, known as Pink, make up "an intimate home-recorded acoustic based cycle that grapples with loss, illness, death and memory." The second half, Tiger, was recorded on Gabriola Island with Jordan Koop, and it's said to be "an exuberant indie-garage rock celebration of the persistence of friendship, music and hope."

In a statement, singer-guitarist Adrian Teacher explained that the first half of the album was made when he "thought everything was falling apart," as his dad was dying and he could only hear out of one ear. The second half was recorded a year later, and he finally regained hearing in his ear after the sessions were over.

Additional production and mixing on the album came from longtime Apollo Ghosts collaborator David Carswell at JC/DC Studios.

Below, hear the indie rocking single "Spilling Yr Guts," which comes along with a video by Derek Janzen. The full 22-song tracklist is below that. The record is available to pre-order through You've Changed.
