AP Dhillon just staged his Summer High Festival in Toronto this past weekend, and now the Canadian hip-hop/pop star is getting his very own Prime Video series. AP Dhillon: First of a Kind premieres August 18.

First of a Kind was directed by Jay Ahmed, and it consists of four parts. It traces Amritpal Singh Dhillon's journey from being born in the Indian city of Gurdaspur to moving to British Columbia and ultimately becoming a music star. It features interviews with Dhillon as well as people close to him.

The series was produced by PASSION Pictures alongside Wildsheep Content and Run-Up Records. "AP Dhillon is an icon of our times and a legend in the making. His is a story of grit and determination, friendship and brotherhood, and staying true to your own creative vision at any cost. It's a story that will engage and inspire young and old alike," said Amy Foster of PASSION Pictures. "AP Dhillon: First of a Kind is a unique series with unprecedented access that dives into the making of the music, the challenge of putting on a tour, and the heart of the man himself."

First of a Kind wasn't listed in Prime Video's initial August 2023 schedule, which can be found here.
