Blink-182 alien hunter Tom DeLonge has finally announced the new Angels & Airwaves album. The record is called Lifeforms, and it will arrive on September 24 via Rise Records.

To go along with the announcement, the band have shared the new song "Restless Souls," which, as a press release explains, "is written from the perspective of God as a letter to humanity regarding life's trials and the necessity for humans to demonstrate resiliency."

DeLonge himself stated the following of the track: "Restless Souls'" in many ways is an honest letter from God to humanity — because life seems to always be looking for ways to inspire, clarify and teach us when things become more difficult."

Of Lifeforms as a whole, he said: "This album for me is a journey through different relationships, different points of view, and how we each have our own life path."

Alongside the album announcement, Angels & Airwaves have also announced a world tour. Starting with a show at Lollapalooza on July 31, the band will start of the fall trek properly near the end of September and play multiple U.S. dates, though none in Canada. Come 2022, the group will then to the UK and Europe.
