Though he's currently on the road in support of last year's Oxnard LP, Anderson .Paak is wasting no time in revealing news of a full-length follow-up effort — on top of further tour dates.
.Paak has announced that a new LP titled Ventura will arrive April 12 through Aftermath Entertainment/12 Tone Music. The album was recorded at the same time as his Oxnard album and is executive produced by Dr. Dre.
"Growing up in Oxnard gave me the grit and the church to find this voice of mine. One town over I went further and found my depth," .Paak explained in a statement. "The duality of each place inspired me greatly and from that I made two albums at the exact same time but held one back because that would have been too many songs to perform live for you all! I like ending things on an even number so welcome to Ventura."
Alongside that announcement, .Paak has mapped out a new run of dates titled the "Best Teef in the Game Tour." Alongside his Free Nationals, the 21-stop trek will feature Thundercat on every date, while support will come from Earl Sweatshirt, Noname, Mac DeMarco and Jessie Reyez on select dates.
A pair of Canadian shows have been included in the run. .Paak will first play Toronto's Echo Beach on June 1 (with Noname) before playing Vancouver's PNE Forum on June 19 (with Earl Sweatshirt).
Tickets for all dates go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Each online ticket purchased will include a CD or digital copy of Ventura. You can find a complete itinerary below.
