Alvvays Share Cryptic Teaser Featuring Snippet of New Music

"morphing out"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 21, 2022

Alvvays are back! The beloved fuzz pop band haven't released an album since 2017's Antisocialites, but they've been booking shows and performing new material live. Now, they have shared a cryptic teaser that appears to be teasing new music.

The 37-second teaser consists of swirling, dreamy synth chords and the quiet tha-thump of a bass drum. This is accompanied by a retro-looking haze of colours with a question mark. The post is simply captioned "morphing out." They've also mapped out a fall tour with Slow Pulp that, so far, includes a whopping zero Canadian dates. Check out the teaser and tour dates below.

What does it all mean? We'll presumably find out soon enough, so stay tuned for more announcements from Alvvays.
