Many musicians have spoken out in regards to the race-related tensions currently brewing in the U.S., which come in the wake of grand jury non-indictments regarding the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, both of whom were killed by police officers under questionable circumstances. Now, A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed Muhammad has weighed in on the issue with a collaborative song called "CPR."

Produced by Muhammad, the track features JaPoet, David Luke and Merna (a.k.a. Canadian singer Ayah). It sports a darkly atmospheric beat and features politically-charged rapping and repetitions of the phrase "put your hands up" (a reference to allegations that Michael Brown had his hands up when he was shot). The title likely refers to the fact didn't perform CPR on Eric Garner, and there's an audio clip of the grand jury's ruling on the Michael Brown case.

The video adds to the revolutionary tone with images of protesters holding signs with slogans like "black live matters," "hands up" and "I can't breathe." The musicians appear in glitchy, black and white security cam-style images.
