Alex G has shared the sweet, strangely moving video for new (equally sweet and strangely moving) single "Cross the Sea," the latest taste of his forthcoming record God Save the Animals, which arrives September 23.
The video is an animated journey — featuring a dancing teal fox in shorts and a backup singing goose — created by artist Elliot Bech. The song itself is a warbling, effects-laden love song that splits the difference between previously shared singles "Blessing" and "Runner."
God Save the Animals is the follow-up to 2019's House of Sugar. Earlier this year, Alex G shared We're All Going to the World's Fair (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) his first soundtrack album for Jane Schoenbrun's film of the same name.
Alex G is set to play Toronto and Montreal this November.
