Alabama Shakes Announce Debut LP 'Boys & Girls'

Southern rock troupe Alabama Shakes recently hit up the West Coast with nothing more than a self-titled EP to their name, but the Athens, AL-based band likely played at least a few numbers from their newly announced debut LP Boys & Girls on the trip.

A press release explains that the troupe inked up with MapleMusic/ATO Records for the release, and the album hits retailers April 10. The 11-song collection reportedly features a "vibrant fusion of swampy dirty South rock, blues and soul delivered with punk rock fervour," all anchored by the powerful pipes of frontwoman Brittany Howard.

The group produced and mixed the collection themselves at Nashville, TN studio the Bomb Shelter. You can listen to first single "Hold On," which also appeared on last year's eponymous EP, down below.

2. "I Found You"
