From their early primal blasts, to their crossover period, to a street punk phase in the '90s, and up to the today, Agnostic Front has been repping New York hardcore for over 30 years now. After booking some celebratory tour dates to mark the occasion, the band have now decided to dip into their back catalogue for a special repress of their raging Live at CBGB LP.
Bridge 9 will deliver a reissue of the 1989 release on vinyl July 17. While the tracklist remains the same, the collection will feature an embossed cover to highlight those pit-stompin' combat boots. To further complement the American flag-sporting artwork, the record will be pressed on red, white and blue vinyl.
The record features amped-up interpretations of early classics off their debut seven-inch United Blood ("Friend or Foe," "Last Warning"), the punks-and-skins-uniting live show favourite "Crucified" (originally by Iron Cross) and harder-edged tracks like "The Eliminator."
"This was the set front to back from our legendary live recording released in 1989. That was a magical time for the band and hardcore was thriving at its best in 1988 when it was recorded," vocalist Roger Miret said in a statement. "This will be a great release team effort with Agnostic Front and Bridge 9... here it is -- the glory days of 1988 New York City hardcore as relevant today, tomorrow and forever!"
Bridge 9 previously reissued both United Blood and the 1984 LP Victim in Pain in 2009, as well 2011's That's Life seven-inch.
