The Affair

All eyes were on the compelling front-woman with a Debbie Harry drawl, commanding the stage while the keyboards and guitars quietly wrestle for control of the band’s sound. A hometown crowd sang along, even though their debut album on Absolutely Kosher isn’t due until early ’07. The Affair have at least one great song in them, which they played off the top; the rest of the set suggested it might become a formula all too quickly if they’re not careful.
