It's been 14 years since we've gotten a new full-length from A Perfect Circle, and that changes tonight with the arrival of the band's fourth LP Eat the Elephant, which you can hear in its entirety right now.
Arriving today through BMG, Eat the Elephant runs 12 tracks in length and was produced by Dave Sardy. You can find its incredibly strange artwork above.
The album's arrival was preceded by singles "Disillusioned," "The Doomed," "TalkTalk" and "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish." Songs "Hourglass" and "Feathers" were revealed through fan-shot live footage uploaded online in advance. Perhaps that might have influenced their cellphone ban.
"Although I'm extremely excited to finally be completing this album after a 14-year hiatus, I'm actually more excited that its intentional release date is serving a greater purpose," vocalist Maynard James Keenan previously said in a statement. "The 20th of April is [frequent collaborator Carina Round's] birthday. She is a dear friend who is extremely difficult to shop for. Pressure off."
