My Chemical Romance have been indirectly hinting at the possibility of an upcoming album, and it wouldn't be an overstatement to say their fans have been frothing at the mouth.
Of course, it's been over a decade since the emo-rock heroes last shared an album (2010's Danger Days), so it's tough to blame their supporters for champing at the bit.
The rumours stem from an Instagram story shared — and promptly deleted — early today by @bigwormser, an associate of the band. The image features an acoustic guitar, a framed print seemingly paying homage to MCR's 2004 hit "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," and, most importantly, a sticky note that reads "5OON."

Fans have taken that sticky note and ran with it, and, given the fact that any future MCR album would be their fifth — note the "5" in "5OON" — it's not too far-fetched to assume they're hinting at just that.
Whispers of a new album initially started when, last year, the band shared "The Foundations of Decay" as their first single since splitting up in 2013, embarking on a reunion tour directly after.
