Emo legends My Chemical Romance have at last marked their drawn-out comeback with new music, delivering their first new single in eight years today with "The Foundations of Decay."
The band are due to return to Canada on tour this year, with arena shows booked in Montreal and Toronto in September, where they'll presumably perform their new material.
Support along the trek will come from Badflower, Devil Master, Dilly Dally, GHÖSH, Kimya Dawson, Meg Myers, Midtown, Nothing, Shannon and the Clams, Soul Glo, Surfbort, Taking Back Sunday, the Bouncing Souls, the Homeless Gospel Choir, the Lemon Twigs, Thursday, Turnstile, Waterparks, Youth Code and more.
The new song — produced by Doug McKean, Gerard Way and guitarist Ray Toro — is not yet attached to a larger body of work, but it's probably safe to assume they have some new material in the works after today's release.
