Prince's Last Year to Be Explored in New Documentary

A new UK-produced documentary is set to explore the final year in the life of late music icon Prince.

As Variety reports, British broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a doc titled Prince's Last Year, which will feature footage from his "Piano & Microphone Tour," along with providing insight on his politics, activism and addiction to painkillers.

The site reports that CeeLo Green, George Clinton and Rev. Al Sharpton will all make contributions to the film in addition to political commentator Van Jones, singer Eryn Allen Kane and former girlfriend Andy Allo.

Prince's Last Year will be produced by Lincoln Square Productions. The features is produced and directed by Adrian Sibley, with Dan Goldsack serving as executive producer.

It's unclear as of press time when the film will see release.
