The official trailer for Fear Street Part 3: 1666 has landed ahead of its release on Friday (July 16). It's the third of three films in the Netflix trilogy inspired by R.L. Stine's cult classic novels, presented in reverse-chronological order.

In the epic conclusion to the saga, we'll find out the origins of Sarah Fier's curse — which has continued to haunt the inhabitants of Shadyside for over 300 years. The opportunity to potentially end it adds a time-travel element into the mix, with Deena (Kiana Madeira) thrust into the past to uncover the truth. It seems like there will be a literal witch hunt, as well as queer romance that doesn't sit well with the homophobic townsfolk.

Much stands to be revealed as to how the gory events of Fear Street Part 1: 1994 and Fear Street Part 2: 1978 came about. Based on the trailer, the end of the trilogy is looking like less of a nostalgia-fest and more of a 17th century nightmare.
