Filming of HBO comedy hit Veep has been put on pause as the show's star Julia Louis-Dreyfus undergoes treatment for breast cancer.
Executive producer Frank Rich announced the decision during an interview yesterday (November 15) on Sirius XM. He explained that the scripts for the seventh and final season are ready to go, and that Louis-Dreyfus had taken part in a table read for an episode as recently as 10 days ago.
There's no official word on when Louis-Dreyfus will complete treatment, but her Veep colleagues all seem to be wishing her well.
Last week, Louis-Dreyfus shared a video of her co-stars Sam Richardson and Matt Walsh psyching her up for another round of chemo. Watch that clip below.
The 56-year-old actress revealed her diagnosis earlier this fall, garnering messages of support from Hollywood bigwigs — and IRL politicians.

2 of my darling Bozos (love them so much) psyche me up for 3rd chemo today. And guess what? It worked! I'm psyched AF. @SamRichardson @mrmattwalsh pic.twitter.com/OuwR5hvHlf
