Julia Louis-Dreyfus has revealed that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 56-year-old Veep star broke the news earlier today (September 28) on Twitter.
"1 in 8 women get breast cancer," she wrote. "Today, I'm the one."
She continued, saying she is supported by caring family friends and "fantastic insurance," but urged followers to help other women who aren't "so lucky."
"Let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality," she added, before signing off.

Earlier this month, Louis-Dreyfus took home her seventh consecutive Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy Award for her ongoing role as Selina Meyer on Veep.
