Kim's Convenience recently ended, so it's about time Toronto got another highly specific sitcom about a city institution. CTV has just announced Shelved, a workplace comedy set at Jameson Public Library in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood.

The show comes via Anthony Q. Farrell, the Canadian actor and comedian known for his writing on another notable workplace comedy: The Office.

An announcement from Bell (as pointed out by journalist Jonathan Goldsbie on Twitter) reveals that Shelved is a "single-camera, workplace comedy that follows the employees and patrons as they go about their lives in this unassuming and extraordinary place."

It's worth pointing out that "Jameson Public Library" isn't actually the name of the real library in Parkdale. The real one, located at 1303 Queen Street West, is simply called the Parkdale Branch of Toronto Public Library, and it's three blocks away from Jameson Avenue (from which the library in Shelved presumably takes its name). There's no word as to whether any filming will take place at the Parkdale Branch, or if that building will be used for exterior shots.

Shelved doesn't yet have a premiere date. Bell's announcement isn't specific about the timeline, saying only that it concerns titles "set to debut or begin production during the 2022/23 broadcast year."

The announcement also notes that Letterkenny has been renewed for Season 12 and Canada's Drag Race will be getting Season 3.
