Canadian film collective Astron-6 has been a go-to source for top-notch genre fare, having delivered some horror-laden laughs in Manborg, Father's Day and The Editor. Up next, the group's Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski are set to co-direct the truly terrifying (and, from the looks of it, humourless) new film The Void.
After some teasers floated around online, the duo have finally unleashed the first full-length trailer for the film. It looks to be full of gore (made with practical effects) and terrifying cloaked creatures known as the Disciples. Based on the preview, this is one to look out for.
The Void will hit select cinemas on March 31 before hitting VOD and pay-per-view services on April 7. The film was funded through a successful IndieGogo campaign, and its release will be accompanied by an official soundtrack (release date to-be-confirmed) as well as a book called The Making of the Void.
