Unless you were living under a rock (or simply stoned out of your mind), you probably remember that Canada historically legalized marijuana on Wednesday (October 17). But it's been legal in Matt Groening's version of Canada for at least 13 years.
In the 2005 episode "Midnight Rx," Homer goes to Canada with Ned and Apu. Ned happens upon a Canadian version of himself, complete with chipper demeanour and moustache. The only difference is, the Canadian Ned offers him a puff of "reeferino."
