Disney+ has shared the trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone, the Montreal-shot reboot of 1990's Christmas classic Home Alone, arriving on the streaming service on November 12.

Home Sweet Home Alone is another in the seemingly endless conveyor belt of remakes that have hit theatres and streaming services in the past few years. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot has a slightly tweaked formula — "a wife and husband who, in order to save their home from financial ruin, go to war with a kid who has stolen a priceless heirloom" — but the trailer looks to hit essentially the exact same beats as the original.

Presumably, things will be spiced up with some cell phones and references to the internet, but there is one key difference: the kid is British this time.

Plus, if you were worried there wouldn't be enough moments at which you could point at the screen and yell "I recognize that," Devin Ratray appears in the trailer as OG Kevin's older brother Buzz, who is now a cop apparently. Okay, that part actually makes sense.

Home Sweet Home Alone stars Jojo Rabbit's Archie Yates alongside Kenan Thompson and Pete Holmes, plus Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney as the 2021 version of Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern's hapless thieves. It was directed by Dan Mazer.
