It's finally happening — Succession is returning with Season 3. Today HBO confirmed the show would be back this fall, though stopped short of giving us a firm premiere date.
The announcement came today from HBO chief content officer Casey Bloys, and HBO dished out the following synopsis:
Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.
As previously reported, there are some new faces coming for the latest season of the Jesse Armstrong-helmed series, including Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård. We'll also see the return of Brian Cox, Hiam Abbass, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen and Peter Friedman.
For now, stay tuned for that premiere date and, eventually, the inevitable first Season 3 trailer.
