Stranger Things has officially been renewed for a fourth season on Netflix.

The announcement was made with a video teaser, which sees the setting of the show expanding beyond humble Hawkins, IN.

In addition to some spooky imagery of the Upside Down, we also hear church bells chiming, as text appears to warn us: "We're not in Hawkins anymore."

Very little is known about the upcoming season so far, but you can check out the teaser clip below.

In addition to renewing Stranger Things, Netflix has signed a deal with the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers. It is said to be a multi-year film and series overall deal, though details have not been made public.

"The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things, and we're thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love," Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement. "We can't wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of the Upside Down."
