Things really are shaping up for The Mandalorian Season 2. Not only did we just find out that the Disney+ Star Wars hit is still set to return on schedule, but beloved director Robert Rodriguez has now confirmed he will be working on Season 2.
The Sin City/Planet Terror filmmaker made the announcement via his Twitter, tweeting a photo of himself alongside the show's biggest star — Baby Yoda.

Production on Season 2 of The Mandalorian has reportedly already wrapped, with the second instalment in the series set to arrive in October. It's unclear from Rodriguez's tweet if he will be directing just one or multiple episodes of Jon Favreau's series.
In addition to Baby Yoda, the upcoming series will see the return of Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones and Ming-Na Wen. Joining them will be new additions Rosario Dawson, Michael Biehn and Bill Burr.
On Monday (May 4), Disney+ premiered the new documentary Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.
