Last year, news broke that beloved Troma property The Toxic Avenger was getting a reboot, and now we know it star none other than Game of Thrones' very own Tyrion Lannister, Peter Dinklage.
As previously reported, the reboot is coming from Macon Blair, best known for starring in Jeremy Saulnier films like Blue Ruin and Green Room. In The Toxic Avenger, Dinklage will play the lead hero Toxie.
The film is being made for Legendary Pictures, but Troma boss Lloyd Kaufman and his partner Michael Herz will produce alongside Legendary's Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter.
To refresh your memory, the original 1984 Toxic Avenger followed the tale of a janitor named Melvin who lands in a vat of toxic waste and reigns as a superhero that fights for justice. The film went on to spawn multiple sequels, a television series and a Marvel comic.
So far, it's still unclear when Blair's Toxic Avenger film will see release.
