Following its cancellation in January, Our Flag Means Death creator David Jenkins has confirmed that the show will not go on.

After Max axed the gay pirate show, Jenkins shopped around in an attempt to find it a new home. "I can officially confirm that we’ve reached the end of the road," the showrunner revealed on Instagram. "At least as far as this sweet show is concerned. After many complimentary meetings, conversations, etc it seems there is no alternate home for our crew."

He continued: "Thank you to all of you who sent us out with tremendous love and care. Your campaign was noticed across the industry. But more importantly it made all of us who worked on this show better able to deal with the loss."

Our Flag Means Death was produced by Taika Waititi, and its end follows his other project Reservation Dogs ending its run after three seasons.
