Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds simultaneously released their last LP The Skeleton Tree with performance film One More Time with Feeling back in 2016, and now the band have announced a brand new live film.

Dubbed Distant Sky: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen, the footage was filmed in October 2017 during the titular stop on the band's tour in support of The Skeleton Tree. David Barnard directed the concert film.

Distant Sky will be given a one-day worldwide release in theatres on April 12. It will be shown in 500 cities around the world, though the full schedule of screenings has yet to be released.

Following the release of The Skeleton Tree and One More Time with Feeling, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds also put out a greatest-hits compilation titled Love Creatures last year.
