Coming to the small screen in November

Amidst the SAG-AFTRA strikes that have left major studios actor-less, Netflix is doing the best it can to adjust — and really, what better way to do that than with a reality game show based on one of television's most viral productions?

The streamer just shared a first look at Squid Game: The Challenge, a competition that will pit 456 competitors against each other for $4.56 million in a considerably less violent version of the Korean show on which it's based — although, it sounds like the on-set treatment of contestants was questionable at best

Despite the long-building hype surrounding the new show, many people say they aren't looking forward to it at all.

One comment beneath the YouTube video reads, "I think we would prefer Season 2 than a reality show."

Another says, "Sucks once you find out how the conditions were for the contestants and how it was rigged from the start."

In the brief teaser, fans are shown familiar sights: the robot doll that oversees the red light, green light game, the creepy, red-hooded overseers and the glass panel bridge roulette walk.

See all that and more in the Squid Game: The Challenge teaser below.
