Chances are, between that and Netflix Canada's January 2022 lineup, we won't be far from our couches either, so it's worth noting that Netflix subscription prices have risen.
Last week (January 14), Netflix Inc. announced that its monthly price for two of three Canadian subscription tiers would increase by $1.50. The company also raised prices in the United States, by $1 to $2 per month, depending on the plan.
In Canada, the price of Netflix's Standard plan — which allows for two users to watch the service on two screens simultaneously — increased from $14.99 to $16.49. The service's Premium plan, meanwhile, has gone from $18.99 to $20.99.
Netflix Canada's basic plan, which allows for viewing one screen at a time and does not offer high-definition video, remains unchanged at $9.99 per month. The latest price increases took effect immediately for new customers, while existing subscribers will see the changes reflected in monthly bills in the coming weeks.
