Marc Maron Wants to Wrap Up 'GLOW' Properly with a Movie

Published Oct 06, 2020
Yesterday Netflix abruptly pulled the plug on GLOW, announcing the show would not being coming back as planned for a fourth and final season. As could be expected, the decision hasn't sat well with a lot of people out there, including series star Marc Maron. But he's not just sitting idle, as he's now urging Netflix to send off the show properly via a movie."Okay so you don't wanna do the show anymore, but let us make a movie, right? Let us wrap it up in a two-hour Netflix movie," Maron said on his Instagram. "They had the whole season laid out. We know where it's gonna go. Why don't you give the showrunners and the writers and the cast an opportunity to finish the story in a movie, right? I mean I think that would be the best thing."
As previously reported, the cancellation announcement came after GLOW had already started production on Season 4. It was about three weeks into filming the new season when production was suspended in March due to the pandemic. Then Netflix made the decision to just not bring it back.Marc Maron is a treasure. #SaveGLOW @GlowNetflix @netflix pic.twitter.com/vtBAkRsQhv
