Jonah Hill wants to show us a new side to the therapist–client relationship. In Stutz — a new film he's directed and starred in — he unveils the methods and tools used by his shrink and friend, Phil Stutz.
Showcasing the banter-filled relationship between Hill and Stutz, the trailer for the film goes back and forth between Hill's mental health journey and moments from Stutz's life. The film will reveal the unique visual tactics that the therapist uses in his work.
"I'm just gonna start by acknowledging how odd this endeavour is, a patient making a movie about his therapist. But my life has gotten immeasurably better as a result of working with [him]," says Hill in the film's trailer.
This will be Hill's second time directing a film, following 2018's Mid90s. He also directed Travis Scott's music video for "Wake Up" in 2019.
Stutz will be available on Netflix on November 14. Check out its trailer below.
